New managing director

With effect from 01.01.2012, Piet Leys (Fig.) has been appointed new managing director at Essen-based Atlas Copco Holding GmbH. He takes over from ­Ulrich Schoene, who has retired. The Belgian Piet Leys has been with Atlas Copco since 1986 and was previously managing director of the holding company in South Africa. During his time with the group he has held several positions, including posts in Spain and Sweden. With immediate effect, as managing director of the holding, he is responsible for business in Austria and Switzerland as well as in Germany.
