Blower screw power

Quieter and providing more air with more savings than competitor rotor profiles, the Sigma Profile from Kaeser Kompressoren is now also available for blower systems. At this year’s POWTECH 2014 exhibition the Coburg-based compressed air specialist will be showcasing its EBS series of high efficiency screw blowers for the low pressure sector.

The tried and tested technology that has brought massive savings and enhanced efficiency to the compressor world is now available to the low pressure sector. Not only are Kaeser’s new screw blowers up to thirty-five percent more efficient compared to conventional rotary blower designs, they also offer significant advantages over comparable screw blowers on the market when it comes to energy efficiency. To ensure that the projected savings become actual savings during operation, Kaeser specifies effective overall power consumption data, as well as the usable flow rate, in accordance with ISO 1217 in Appendix C, or E as applicable. Verifiable performance data is therefore also guaranteed.

Furthermore, the integrated Sigma Control 2 controller enables comprehensive blower system monitoring and straightforward connection to communication networks via Ethernet or data bus.  Thanks to the integrated web server, visualisation of process data, for example, is made simple via Kaeser Connect. For complete blower stations, the next generation Sigma Air Manager (SAM) master control system features special blower software to further increase productivity and energy savings. A wide range of applications including wastewater treatment, pneumatic conveying systems and energy production, as well as numerous sectors in the food and beverage industries, the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, the pulp, paper and textile industries, construction materials manufacturing and general industry can all benefit from the advantages that this cutting-edge screw technology has to offer.

EBS blowers are easy to install, ensure continuous operation you can count on, are exceptionally durable and provide years of dependable service.  With their logical component layout, these versatile units can be installed side-by-side, as well as directly next to a wall, and make servicing a breeze.

Amongst the many other highlights on show at POWTECH will be Kaeser’s BBC and FBC series rotary blowers, which are now ready-to-connect with integrated mains power supply equipment and the proven Sigma Control 2 controller that provides comprehensive monitoring and communication functionality. Kaeser’s high-efficiency, energy-saving blower ranges now cover air deliveries from 2 to 72 m³/min at up to 1000 mbar gauge pressure and 500 mbar vacuum.
