Anyone needing a versatile track-mobile primary crusher in the medium weight class should take a look at the PC 3 impact crusher, which Atlas Copco is fielding with an inlet width of 1250 mm.
Depending on the application, an output rate up to 400 t/h can be obtained. The extremely rugged design of the crusher is immediately obvious, promising high performance potential. Depending on the application and required productivity in aggregate processing or recycling, the machine can eliminate up to two crushing stages.
If, in addition, the optional screen box and the return belt are fitted, two sellable product sizes can be produced in one pass with this versatile unit (Fig.). For this purpose, the screen box is integrated in the belt system by means of a suspension device to produce differently sized finished products in a closed circuit. The on first sight imposing crusher size is put into perspective once you take a closer look at the transport dimensions, as then the total weight of just 38 t seems very manageable. Thanks to the hydraulic functions, the set-up times are strikingly short, taking just under 30 minutes – the entire unit can be easily transported to the working site without any problems.
Service and maintenance work are easy thanks to trouble-free accessibility and optimized lamellar form. The large GRP housing ensures high impact strengths and low noise emissions. The larger models of the PC impact mill series cover feed sizes to 1600 mm and throughput rates up to 500 t/h. Especially for the PC 3, the price-performance ratio is extremely attractive.
