Progress tracking from the engineering phase up to the construction site

From the engineering and manufacturing phase up to the final construction site, the entire machinery, e.g. roller mills for raw material or cement plants, passes through numerous stations. This is why order processes in plant engineering and construction are often very complex and require the co-operation and interaction of several different departments. The Loesche GmbH therefore has developed for their clients a tracking system that can track the status of orders at any time (Fig.).

If the close interaction between the production, purchasing, sales, and project planning departments does not flow smoothly, faulty deliveries may result. These, in turn, may gravely affect any type of construction projects that are based on deadlines and time limits. This problem can be counteracted by way of a uniform, interdivisional execution of all of the processes in SAP. Intelligent add-ons broaden the project management functions with important components and facilitate the related tasks thanks to a clear web interface. For more than one year, Loesche GmbH has now been making use of SAP across all divisions combined with two additional tools made by Milliarum in order to ensure the well-structured progress tracking of orders and a simplified project scheduling.
