14.05.2013 / Mogensen appoints new agent in Chile

Mogensen Raw Materials Handling recently confirmed the appointment of Prodyser Ltda as their new agent in Chile, a very good export market for the company. Prodyser, founded in 2009 to serve the mining and quarrying sectors in Chile, has its head office in La Serena some 400 km north of Santiago. The company has expanded steadily since 2009 and now numbers 14 personnel, mostly experienced mining engineers. A branch office was established in Copiapó, about 280 km further north at the southern end of the Atacama region where much of the mining activity in Chile is located, in 2012.

Mogensen Applications Engineer, John Taylor, visited Chile for 11 days in November 2012 to provide training to Prodyser personnel and to support Prodyser at the AT EXPO mining equipment exhibition held in Copiapó for the five days, 19th to 23rd November. The exhibition is reported to have been very successful, having attracted 250 exhibitors and an estimated 10 000 visitors. Prodyser Ltda itself had a very busy week resulting in a record number of enquiries.

The opportunity was taken also to visit several established and potential Mogensen customers, both in the Atacama area and further south, to discuss new projects, to provide support and advice on equipment already in use and to review maintenance procedures.
