EvoQuip will be launching three new products at Hillhead 2018 as they expand their compact crushing and screening portfolio. The new machines comprise two impact crushers – the Cobra 230R and Cobra 290R – and the Colt 1000 scalping screen. The Cobra 230R will be on static display on stand L4, while live demonstrations of the Cobra 290R feeding the Colt 1000 will take place throughout each day of the event.

Matt Dickson, product line director, said: ‘We are delighted to showcase three new products and have live working demonstrations at the largest exhibition of its kind anywhere in the world. Hillhead is the perfect platform for us to demonstrate why we are leading the way in the compact crushing and screening industry.’

The EvoQuip range of mobile crushing and screening equipment provides a compact and versatile solution capable of operating in the most demanding of applications – including reinforced concrete, recycled asphalt, construction and demolition waste, coal, natural rock etc – and ideal for on-site recycling in urban areas, with all products being easily transportable from job to job.

The Cobra range of impactors is said to provide class-leading productivity, unmatched versatility and excellent fuel efficiency. The machines are designed with the operator in mind in terms of ease of use and serviceability, incorporating features such as ground-level access to the engine, hydraulics, service and refuelling points, as well as a hinged radiator pack, hinged diesel tank and product conveyor that can be removed quickly for major maintenance. In addition, the operator has the ability to move the machine via remote control from the excavator cab without shutting down the crusher.

Building on the success of the Cobra 230, the new Cobra 230R is a closed-circuit version incorporating a detachable 2.44 m x 1.2 m post-screen and oversize conveyor that ensures the required product specification is achieved, with oversize material either being recirculated back to the crusher or stockpiled.

The larger Cobra 290R machine also builds on the strengths of the Cobra 230, incorporating a 1000 mm x 1034 mm diameter impactor. The rapid set-up time, intuitive control system, two-button start-up and ease of setting adjustment on the Cobra 230, Cobra 230R, Cobra 290 and Cobra 290R allow crushing to commence just minutes after arrival on site.

Meanwhile, the latest and largest addition to EvoQuip’s scalping screen range, the Colt 1000, is capable of processing up to 360 t/h, depending on the application. This highly versatile machine incorporates an aggressive double-deck screen measuring 3.96 m x 1.22 m. The variable screening angle and numerous screen media options ensure the machine is able to operate in both heavy-duty scalping and precision screening applications, and will cope with the most difficult of materials.

The Colt 1000 achieves excellent conveyor discharge heights and, coupled with a broad 800 mm fines belt, is said to distinguish itself amongst its competition. In standard configuration, discharge of the fines product is to the right-hand side of the plant with the mid-grade on the left, but both conveyors can be ordered in reverse configuration as an option, with the ability to place both conveyors on the same side of the unit once the Colt 1000 reaches the field. Flexibility is further enhanced with two-way split conversion by simply relocating the tail conveyor to collect both top and bottom deck materials.

All EvoQuip models can be fitted with the T-Link telemetry system, which provides the customer with real-time information on the performance of their machine(s), maximizing uptime, parts and service availability, and providing factual up-to-date information direct from the field.
