AUMUND supplies bunker discharge wagons

In April 2011 two further AUMUND bunker discharge wagons (BEW) will be delivered to Dragon Steel. The steel producer belongs to the Taiwanese concern China Steel Corporation (CSC). The BEW were ordered in November 2010 and complete the second phase of the expansion upgrade which commenced last year. The BEW have a diameter of 3000 mm and a conveying capacity of 500 t/h. They are employed for transport of (iron ore)-sinter, dolomite rock and limestone. Since 2007 Dragon Steel has been continuously investing in the expansion of the plant in Taichung City, at which the storage and handling capacities also needed to be correspondingly increased. From the very start new AUMUND bunker discharge wagons were planned in order to secure frictionless cooperation with the pre-existing identical wagons.
