9th European Metallurgical Conference EMC in Leipzig

The 9th EMC will take place at the Kongresshalle in Leipzig from 25 to 28 June 2017. “Production and Recycling of Non-Ferrous Metals: Saving Resources for a Sustainable Future” is the motto of this year’s EMC. The conference will take place at the invitation of the GDMB Society of Metallurgists and Miners e. “The sustainability of the non-ferrous metals industry will be duly examined with respect to its technological, ecological and economic aspects in nearly 30 topical sessions. Not only the production of metals, but also the preparation and the recycling of raw materials and residues will be discussed. The impact on the environment and health protection will also be in the focus”, Jacobi presented an outlook for the conference program. For more information regarding the conference see: EMC.gdmb.de

The conference will be accompanied by an exhibition. This provides an excellent opportunity for attendees/delegates from the metal producers/smelters and delegates of equipment manufacturers/service suppliers to discuss potential solutions, to solve actual problems or further upgrading of plant components/equipment. The exhibition represents a volatile market place for communication between technical staff, management, consulting experts, university delegates and is an extension of the technical lectures to the real hardware or software related practical questions.
