AT MINERAL PROCESSING: What highlight are you presenting at SOLIDS Dortmund 2018?
AViTEQ: For many years now, AViTEQ has supplied vibratory feeding system to a wide range of industries such as the non-metallic minerals, recycling and steelmaking industries or industries with high quality requirements like foodstuffs and chemicals. In the past years, especially in the last two industries, we have developed solutions (e.g. loss-in-weight/differential weighfeeders). Another product has been added to our portfolio in this area: the AViTEQ resonance conveyor. This is the ideal companion in the foodstuffs business when it comes to the conveying, screening and dewatering of lightweight and sensitive bulk solids and piece goods. At the trade fair, visitors can experience a resonance conveyor in action.
AT MINERAL PROCESSING: What is the most exciting development in your division at present?
AViTEQ: Companies that sell products for bulk handling processes are faced with new requirements because of Industry 4.0. Corresponding solutions have to be identified by the customers and actively developed. Aspects like, for example, automation, digitalization but also the application of artificial intelligence should not be disregarded. But the potential to develop new business models is also exciting and needs to be observed carefully. I am pleased that we can play a part in this exciting development.
AT MINERAL PROCESSING: What do you expect from the trade fair as an exhibitor?
AViTEQ: Because of the venue of the trade fair in the middle of the Ruhr region, the trade fair has evolved into a very good meeting point for the bulk solids processing industry. Both end-customers as well as the plant engineering companies meet with suppliers to discuss international trends and exchange ideas. Special here the SOLIDS trade fair addresses a public from a wide range of industries, and as a result diversified discussions take place.
