Change at the top

Change at the top of Endress+Hauser Flowtec: from 1. April 2014 Dr. Bernd-Josef Schäfer (Fig.) will be the new Managing Director of the flowmeter specialists. Bernd-Josef Schäfer has a doctorate in physics and spent his entire previous professional career with the automotive supply and electronics group Bosch. Since 2008 he has held the position of Senior Vice President of engineering and manufacturing within the electric drives and controls division of Bosch Rexroth in Germany, a function in which he was in charge of 2300 people worldwide and responsible for sales of around 600 million euros. Schäfer’s predecessor Gerhard Jost had been Endress+Hauser Flowtec’s managing director since early 2000. He had announced his retirement last year. The engineer with a doctorate degree has been a member of the Executive Board of Endress+Hauser AG since 2009 and will continue in this function with responsibility for the Group’s worldwide production entities.
