CityEquip jaw crusher from Christophel at Floer in Münsterland

Floer, a contractor based in Burgsteinfurt, in the Münsterland region of Germany has been working with the hook-lift CitySkid 7V4 jaw crusher from Christophel since 2003 – this crusher has now clocked up 13000 operating hours – a sign of its extraordinary robustness and reliability. Prompted by the good order situation and the associated high utilization of the machine, the company opted to buy a second CitySkid 7V4 in 2008. This crusher had reached 7000 operating hours by the end of 2015. To meet the continued increase in demand, the decision was taken within the company to buy a third machine – but this time the crawler-mounted model, the CityTrak 7TX. Since the beginning of 2016, Floer has therefore been working with three generations of CityEquip jaw crushers. The demand for and acceptance of the machines remain very high, to which the already achieved 1000 operating hours of the crawler-mounted crusher testify.

The CityTrack combines all the advantages of the CitySkid but with even greater mobility. The 3.50-m-long, 3.5-m³ feed hopper is ideally suited for feeding with a wheel loader. The crushed material is fed on a feeder to the integrated prescreening. Here the fines are screened off and discharged on a conveyor at the side. The robust 700 x 500-mm jaw crusher guarantees the reliable and fast crushing of the feed material. The generous space between crusher discharge and discharge belt and the good accessibility ensure trouble-free, easy operation. The integrated overbelt magnet removes any iron from the crusher product, before this is reliably stockpiled with from a discharge height of 2.70 m. The chain running gear ensures high mobility especially at small construction sites. To protect the customers’ asphalt yards, special synthetic plates have been screwed to the chain links. The crusher is driven with an on-board power unit, which scores points thanks to a very favourable fuel consumption of around 7 l diesel per hour. This has proven a reliable and low-cost drive concept.
