Multifunctional use
As a new development Gericke presented at ACHEMA 2009 its single shaft mixer GBM (Gericke Batch Mixer) which can be used for divers different processes (Fig.). The GBM can be operated with Froude numbers varying from 1 to 3 which influences the energy input and mixing result. It is available pressure tight, and is suitable for heat exchange operation as well. For dispersion duties high speed rotating de-agglomerators can be integrated into the mixing chamber. The mixer is delivered as ATEX category 1, 2 or 3 equipment. Standard sizes are manufactured from 150 l up to 3000 l volume.
