New speaker

Change in management of the Industrieverband Steine und Erden Baden-Württemberg e.V. (ISTE, Industrial Association Stones and Earths) – in future, the responsibility for the natural stone specialist group as well as for the “Güteschutz Naturstein Baden-Württemberg e.v.” will rest with Theresa Platz. The 28 year old geoscientist will succeed Kai Fischer who left the ISTE after 14 years to work for the company Schwenk in Ulm.

In spring 2014, Theresa Platz completed her studies of geosciences at the University of Göttingen with a Master of Science degree. She is specialized in the field of natural stones which she had chosen as the topic of her master thesis. Since January 2015, Theresa Platz has worked at the Institute for Construction and Material Sciences of the University of Innsbruck in the field of material technology. There, she mainly dealt with mineral building materials (cement, concrete), studying the influence of various types of limestone as additives on cement hydration and the concrete-technological properties. Therese Platz has been a member of the ISTE team in Ostfildern since mid-September 2017.
