Service orders for SKF in Latin America

SKF obtained various long-term service orders from companies in Latin America at the same time. The services agreed upon cover the lubrication of machines up to condition monitoring (Fig.). One of these contracts, a four-year contract worth 55 million SEK (approx. 6.3 million €), covers the supply of SKF lubricating systems to one of the largest copper producers in Peru. In this case SKF will plan, organize, carry out and manage the lubrication of the mining equipment. The contract comprises trucks, excavators and drills as well as the concentration plant including belt conveyors, crushers, ball mills and flotation cells. In Chile SKF signed a technology contract with a large copper producer amounting to 34 million SEK (approx. 3.9 million €). The focus of the project is on the condition monitoring of the crucial mining equipment as well as the concentration and annealing plant. In this case SKF will supply products, customized technical services, the project installations as well as monitoring. Further contracts were concluded with a metal producer in Brazil and a packaging company in Ecuador.
