vero launches energy efficiency network
On September 18, 2018, the first vero energy efficiency network was launched. The network’s goal is to reduce the energy consumption of the participating businesses within the next three years, thus making a contribution to climate protection. The energy efficiency network will bring together energy managers in a structured process and moderated exchange of experiences to continuously improve efficiency and to save energy in the respective companies. Furthermore, each participating company will receive qualified energy consulting.
vero, that represents about 600 companies of the building material and raw material industry with more than 1000 businesses, is the agency responsible for the network. The members include producers of gravel, sand and natural stone, of quartz, ornamental stone, ready-mixed concrete, asphalt, concrete parts, factory mortar and recycled construction material. ÖKOTEC will accompany the network as energy consultant and moderator. The following works take part in the vero energy efficiency network: Diabaswerk Halbeswig, Wuppertal; Teunesen Sand und Kies, Weeze; Mendiger Basalt Schmitz, Mendig; Franz Carl Nüdling, Fulda; Mitteldeutsche Hartstein-Industrie, Hanau; Hermann Wegener GmbH & Co. KG, Hanover.
