Entering a new market segment

32-t total weight, a modern functional design and an exceptionally high crushing power – those are the key features of the new R1100 impact crusher supplied by Rockster Recycler. On account of its transport dimensions, the R100 is still classed in the compact crusher sector, but thanks to its crushing capacity of just under 300 t/h, it is also suitable for major crushing contracts.

The R1100 includes a facility for simple refitting of the machine from impact to jaw crusher (inlet size: 1000 x 600 mm). The patented changeover system is available as an option in this “weight class” as is the RS94 screen box, which, as in the case of the R900, is simply fixed to the main belt of the crusher.

During its first trial run in mid-May (Fig.), the 32-t crusher was fed with reinforced concrete with feed sizes of 1.5 m in length or an edge length that would just fit into the 1100 x 720-mm-large inlet opening. Thanks to the very rugged design of the rotor, the hard rock crusher achieved an average rate of 260 t/h for a final size of 0/63. The peak rates even reached more than 345 t/h.
