Kroftman erects storage tent for copper mine in Peru

The company Kroftman Structures B.V. with headquarters in Babberich/Netherlands sets up storage halls and tents all over the world - from small, temporary storage tents and steel halls up to permanent tent halls with an area of more than 1000 m². The order to install a storage tent, which Kroftman received from Peru, was something very special.

The company was to install a tent with the dimensions 25 x 60 m and a height of 15 m near a copper mine (Fig. 1). “The roofing was designed to store machinery and plants. The mine is located at an altitude of 4000 m. The greatest difficulty was that you have extremely hard working conditions at this altitude, e.g. oxygen starvation. We developed a roof and installed it with local workers. In six weeks the order had been completed. The tent has a special metal structure with a robust tarpaulin of PVC (Fig. 2)”, said Thierry Tiedlink, who founded Kroftman Structures BV together with his brother Oscar in 2007.
