Sandvik invites drilling technicians for exchange of experience

Since Sandvik launched their series of drills, type DPi, in 2008, they have organized three meetings with a group of about 20 drilling technicians from renowned companies, such as MHI, MDB, OHI, EPC, Maxam. During the first two meetings they discussed theoretical aspects and exchanged experience, which were later incorporated into the further development of the drill from the original version 1.0 to the type 3.1. The last meeting took place at the Niederofleiden quarry (MHI) on 26th November 2010 (Fig.). This time the focus was on testing the latest device software in practice. All the meetings were attended by one of the designers from the company in Finland so that a direct exchange between user and manufacturer was possible. The result of this cooperation: a perfected device that meets all the requirements of everyday practice.
