Exemplary as regards product innovation

The company Endress+Hauser Conducta specialized in the analysis of liquids, has received the “MX Award” in the category “product innovation” in the nationwide company competition “Manufacturing Excellence”. The award ceremony took place in a festive atmosphere in the Axel Springer Building in Berlin on 26th November 2010 (Fig.). In Germany the “MX Awards” have been presented since 2004 following the British example. An independent jury with members from science and practice select the prizewinners of the individual categories as well as the final winner from a great number of candidates. The reason for this award was explained as follows: “The company integrates its customers comprehensively and in a structured way into the process of product innovation through various committees and customer forums. As regards product development, the simultaneous development of product and process as well as the use of the platform strategy ensure an efficient integration of new products into the existing processes as well as their further development.”
