Crusher Manganese Steels receives Queen’s Award

Manufacturer and supplier of crusher spare parts and crusher services, Crusher Manganese Steels Limited has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade for outstanding achievement in export sales. Founded in 1989 Crusher Manganese Steels marketing their business under the trademark CMS Cepcor has successfully grown into the leading aftermarket manufacturer and supplier of precision crusher spare parts, premium manganese wear parts and crusher repairs, servicing the quarrying and mining Industries worldwide. Having recently announced a further expansion of their manufacturing and distribution facilities at their Coalville headquarters in the UK, the award has quantified this expansion and underlined the success of their export sales strategy.

Growth in Exports

Winning an award for outstanding achievement in International Trade, CMS Cepcor exported to over 450 customers in 88 countries over the 3 year period covered by the application. Despite the worldwide economic recession and credit crisis, export turnover increased by 16% in 2010 and then a further increase of 58% in 2011. Now exporting to over 100 countries, CMS Cepcor’s projected turnover in their current financial year ending April 2012 will exceed £21 million, a further 20% growth. This success is a result of having refocused its export sales strategy on new markets, particularly in Africa, Europe and the Americas.

Their growth has been achieved through a focus on optimisation of web presence together with an engineering focus on producing quality products plus an expansion of the range of services offered to our ever increasing customer base. More overseas visits for direct contact with customers and establishing business partners in key overseas territories has also aided their rapid growth.

Engineering Services

One element of this current success has been investment in their UK engineering facility. Their extensive facilities at their UK site incorpore CNC machining capabilities, specialist tooling, co-ordinate measuring equipment and latest CAD design capabilities. Managed by a team who have unrivalled expertise in the design, manufacture, operation and maintenance of crushing and associated equipment.

Quality Assurance

Their in-house material testing and quality assurance department has also seen recent investment in the form of specialist material analysis equipment. Used primarily for metal analysis for the precise identification of the chemical composition of alloys, design, quality inspection and auditing their vast stock inventory the purchase of the spectrometer is part of company policy to continually re-invest to improve their customer support.
