Changes in the management board of Komatsu Germany GmbH
On April 1, 2017, Taichiro Kitatani became CEO of Komatsu Germany GmbH. Kitatani has already been Executive Vice President and Managing Director of the company for two years and the person responsible for the Mining Division. Furthermore, he will be Vice Chairman for the Komatsu Europe International N.V. The long-standing chairman, Dr.-Ing. Norbert Walther, remains member of the management board of Komatsu Germany GmbH. Prudent in nature, he will continue to support the company with help and advice from the background. On April 1, 2017 Ralf Petzold was appointed as Managing Director and Executive Vice President Mining Division. Petzold has already been responsible as Vice President and Plant Manager for the fields of production, purchase, logistics, and quality in the mining division.
The Komatsu Germany GmbH was formed by the merger of the Komatsu Hanomag GmbH in Hanover with Komatsu Mining Germany GmbH in Düsseldorf, however maintaining both locations. Also, Takeshi Asanuma (Administration Division) and Göksel Güner (Construction Division) belong to the executive board.
