Gebr. Pfeiffer announced the appointment of Timothy Burden as President of Gebr. Pfeiffer, Inc., who took over the reins at the Florida/USA subsidiary starting January 1, 2020.

Since joining Gebr. Pfeiffer in 2017, Tim Burden has been successful as Managing Director Malaysia, overseeing sales and operations in the company's Asian subsidiary. Prior to joining Gebr. Pfeiffer, Burden had over 10 years of sales management experience within the industry.

"Tim Burden has a solid understanding of our solutions and he has demonstrated his unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. He has the confidence of our Board of Directors to serve the needs of our customers throughout the Americas and he is a perfect fit to lead the team of professionals in our USA office," commented Mathias Dülfer, Chairman Executive Board at Gebr. Pfeiffer SE.

Tim Burden grew up in the UK where he studied at Queen’s University Belfast and The University of Southampton achieving his Postgraduate Diploma in Engineering in 2004.

In order to ensure that the management of the Asian subsidiary in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia continues to be in good hands, Vesa Peurakari will take the helm from Tim Burden, also starting on January 1, 2020.

Vesa Peurakari grew up in Finland and Sweden. After completing his mechanical engineering studies (BSc) in Gothenburg, Sweden, he was successful for many years in the machinery industry. He is an experienced sales, project and service manager and a strong sales professional, skilled in negotiation, operational management, international business, strategic sourcing and corporate management.

“I am very grateful for the opportunity to work for Gebr. Pfeiffer in the future. I am excited about the new challenges and very much looking forward to moving to Malaysia and leading the office in Kuala Lumpur,” said Vesa Peurakari about his new job.

He will lead a team of currently 8 employees at Gebr. Pfeiffer’s Malaysia office. After the subsidiary’s establishment in 2016, at that time still a representation, the subsidiary is overseeing the sales of new machinery and after-sales service for the entire Southeast Asian region. Gebr. Pfeiffer is glad to have won Vesa Peurakari as a suitable successor to take over Tim Burden’s responsibilities.

Gebr. Pfeiffer wishes both gentlemen all the best in their new roles and warmly welcomes Vesa Peurakari to the team of Gebr. Pfeiffer.
