The Memorandum of Understanding shall promote cooperation in sustainability, innovation and profitable mining and create conditions for joint projects. Jenny Greberg, program director at Swedish Mining Innovation, is pleased that they have succeeded in concluding a memorandum of understanding regarding cooperation with the mining giant Codelco in Chile. When Swedish Mining Innovation began work on developing more international collaboration a few years ago, the programme's board prioritized Chile. Codelco is an internationally leading mining company with a strong focus on development and high ambitions in terms of sustainability and efficiency. Another reason for prioritizing collaboration with Chile is the good relations that exist, and great support and cooperation with Business Sweden in Chile.
