Facts & figures about IFAT Munich 2024

IFAT Munich 2024 is impressive not only because of its line-up of representatives from politics and business, but also because of the many exhibitors and visitors from all over the world, enriching the trade fair with their topics. For environmental technology, the world-leading trade fair is both the central networking event and a knowledge hub. A few figures provide impressive proof of that:

  • More than 3100 exhibitors are presenting themselves and their solutions at IFAT Munich, 55 % of them from abroad. That’s a further boost to internationalization compared to the previous event in 2022.
  • IFAT Munich occupies a total of 300 000 m² of exhibition space – the equivalent of around 42 soccer pitches. Enough space, for example, for the Trucks in Action show, which is located in the outdoor area above Hall C6. This is where the municipal vehicle industry will have live presentations of capabilities and features from the road maintenance and cleaning, and disposal sectors. More than 150 machines and trucks will be presented, also with electric and hydrogen drives.
  • There will also be a special focus on sustainability at the environmental technology trade fair. Public transport tickets will be included for the first time in the admission price. 60 % of visitors are expected to use public transport. 200 buses will be running over the entire duration of the trade fair. The subway also runs every five minutes.
  • With more than 120 000 visitors expected from over 150 countries, Munich’s hotels, restaurants, and beer gardens will be very busy. IFAT Munich visitors can camp on the exhibition grounds. There are currently around 180 registrations for that. More information on booking can be found here .
