Solid / Liquid Separation 2024

The course teaches the theoretical principles of solid-liquid separation and demonstrates the limits of simplistic modelling. Experimental methods of design and scale-up are covered in detail and usefully supplemented by theory. Particular attention is paid to understanding the interactions between the product properties of the suspension to be separated and the design and setting parameters of separation equipment and machines.

The course offers the opportunity to participate in demonstrations of running pilot machines and thus also to gain an insight into the machine technology of separation equipment.
