MFL takes over SBM: Two strong brands on the mineral processing world market
On Friday, August 5th, 2011, SBM Mineral Processing GmbH, with headquarters in Laakirchen, Upper Austria, has been taken over by Maschinenfabrik Liezen’s associates – Group Haider, Heinrich Obernhuber and Krünes Consulting GmbH. This is a huge step forward to present and even expand two well established brands in the field of mineral processing – MFL and SBM – on the world market in the years to come.
In the coming months both companies are going to elaborate concepts and possibilities to implement and use already available synergies in the best possible ways. “Our aim is to have set first steps and come close to optimisation at the beginning of 2012” was reported by KR Mag. Heinrich Obernhuber and DI Erwin Schneller, the new Managing Directors of SBM. “Our primary goal is to keep the client’s confidence in SBM as a strong and solid company and partner.” The activities for strengthening both brands will comprise all the fields of mineral processing, from engineering to manufacturing and sales and distribution. For the time being SBM will be led as independent company under company law. The company Invest AG acts as co-proprietor holding a share of approx. 27.5 %.
