Call for Paper Sensor based sorting 2012, Aachen/Germany (17.-19.04.2012)
The fifth expert conference Sensor based Sorting will take place in the Eurogress Aachen/Germany from 17.-19.04.2012 addressing the issue of new developments and applications in the field of automatic separation techniques for primary and secondary raw materials. Organizers are the Department of Processing (IFA), RWTH Aachen University and the GDMB Society of Mining, Metallurgy, Resource and Environmental Technology. The scientific guidance is taken by the Professors Thomas Pretz and Hermann Wotruba. The presentations exclusively will deal with such separation procedures which detect different attributes of the feed material with intelligent sensors and discharge recognized components selectively. The separation progress concerning materials like minerals as well as waste constituents like plastics, paper, metals, RDF, glass and light packaging will be addressed thoroughly. Moreover, an accompanying exhibition will be arranged where manufacturers can present novel technologies of sensor based sorters. Intention is to interconnect plant operators, manufacturers and developers for an exchange of experiences. Because of the international character of the conference the presentations will be conducted only in English language.
