Field days at a limestone works

Apex-Lieben GmbH and Warner Bau und Industriemaschinen GmbH (WBI) will present the synchronized use of different crushing and screening plants including short-tail excavators and dump trucks at the Neandertal limestone works themed “Field days at the Neandertal limestone works” from 08.-09.07.2011. During both days, visitors may form a varied impression of the entire process chain from extraction and conveying up to processing of minerals and perhaps even building materials (Fig.). Lifts for the visitors on various construction machinery and equipment are planned.

On both days from 10 a.m. the application-related strengths of mobile jaw, impact and gyratory crushers will be demonstrated in each case for 15 minutes. Amongst other things, the Apex-Lieben range will focus on jaw crushers LZ96 and LT106 from Metso with active crushing gap monitoring or on the impact mill LT1213 with integrated screening module. All three plants are suitable for both primary and secondary applications and are used both in quarries and for building materials recycling. The machine presentation will also focus on the mode of operation of the gyratory crusher HP200 S including a screen deck from Metso. Integrating a completely mobile double-deck screen, the Lokotrack ST272, from Metso, both possibilities of smooth preliminary screening and reliable classification of the final product will be clearly varied. WBI will show various mobile and crawler-mounted excavators from Liebherr in the field of earth moving and material handling. For example, the new mobile short-tail excavator LIEBHERR A918 Compact can be visited on site. The capacity and manoeuvrability of the new dump truck TA230 with centre pivot steering will be presented on difficult terrain. The product range of the manufacturers Mecalac Ahlmann and Kubota will round off the whole program in the smaller machine categories.

The specialists from Apex-Lieben and WBI will locally be present at the venue during both days to provide a technical advisory service to building contractors, operators of gravel works and recycling operators.
