6th bvse Minerals Day in Hamburg from
27 – 28 March 2019

“How to proceed with the Umbrella Ordinance?” will be the question asked in the first thematic block of the bvse Mineral Day taking place on 27 March 2019 at the Hotel Lindner in Hamburg. For more than ten years, the Federal Government has been working on the so-called Umbrella Ordinance, which is also intended to uniformly regulate the handling of substitute building materials throughout Germany. The legal framework might finally strengthen the acceptance and the use of substitute building materials - and thus help to secure the supply of raw materials in Germany. Experts from the Federal Ministry for the Environment as well as industry insiders provide information on the status of the Umbrella Ordinance and report on enforcement experiences between Umbrella Ordinance and Decrees of the German states.

Undeterred by the question of when the impasse for building material recyclers and potential buyers of RC building materials will finally come to an end, the innovative industry is working tirelessly on sustainable, resource- and environmentally friendly solutions. The second conference block will therefore be dedicated to the positive experiences made with the use of substitute building materials in road and traffic area construction as well as in earthworks.

Block 3 of the second conference day will deal with soil treatment, soil cleaning and innovative treatment processes, before the fourth thematic block will continue with showing examples of use and effective measures to increase the acceptance of RC construction materials.

The bvse Fachverband Mineralik - Recycling und Verwertung and the German Demolition Association present the future key to success and quality guarantee for substitute building materials: the quality seal of the BQSE GmbH. With the aim of increasing the acceptance of substitute building materials through a nationwide standardized system of testing, monitoring and certification, bvse together with the German Demolition Association is going to set up the Federal Office for the Quality Assurance of Construction Materials (BQSE).

Early arrivals are provided with the possibility of a get together in the conference hotel on the eve of the meeting, on Tuesday, March 26. At the end of the first conference day, the participants have the opportunity for detailed networking within the framework of a joint dinner. An accompanying exhibitor forum offers additional information on all days and invites to professional and informative discussions.

Registration is now open. Further information about the program will shortly be published on the bvse conference page.
