AT Mineral Processing: Why do you exhibit at the SOLIDS Dortmund 2014?
Beumer: The SOLIDS Dortmund 2014 is the most important trade fair for bulk solids technology in the Ruhr district. Apart from materials handling, the processing of bulk solids and the material storage, even the field of bulk solids transport belongs to the scope of the exhibition. In recent years, local enterprises took a cautious approach to investments in new solutions. Now, this has changed and for us, as a broad-based supplier of plants and systems for this branch, the market has regained its attractiveness again.
AT Mineral Processing: Which innovations will you present?
Beumer: It is the first time that we are presented as exhibitors at the SOLIDS Dortmund. We will inform about our entire portfolio of the conveying, loading, filling, palletizing and packaging technology. This includes curve going belt conveyors, stationary loading heads, general cargo loading systems as well as high-performance packaging systems. A novelty in this range is our BEUMER fillpac R bagging system. It is designed for capacities ranging from 300 to 6000 bags per second filling different kinds of bags and, with a special bag placer, even HDPE bags.
AT Mineral Processing: What do you wish for the future of the fair?
Beumer: The bulk goods industry has been an important economic factor in the Ruhr district for a very long time. We want the SOLIDS Dortmund to establish as a key event of the year where high-quality suppliers and users come together.
