Construction Machine Training in the 21st century with Komatsu

Komatsu sets new standards in driver training. With a simulator equipped with state-of-the-art technology – here for a hydraulic excavator of the 30 t class – it is now possible to go through a targeted and resource saving training program. The simulator technology has been used for more than 20 years for dump trucks and wheel loaders in the heavy machinery sector and now been further developed for machines in the standard size. A combination of the latest Virtual Reality Technology with a realistic environment and most different training modules provides drivers with a broad range of training possibilities – without having to enter a machine.

At the Steinexpo 2017, the new Komatsu Hydraulic Excavator PC700LC-11 will move the masses. Loading is carried out by the new Komatsu Wheel Loader WA600-8, which impresses with good traction, convenience and reliability. For re-loading, the new Komatsu Dump Trucks HM300-5 and HD605-8 are available. Komatsu integrated payload scales, in particular, into these two machines. With optimum off-road capability, small turning cycles and convenient operation, the two dump trucks reliably convey all kinds of materials. KOMTRAX and  VHMS, the state-ot-the-art information technology, helps to maintain the overview of the machinery, to minimize maintenance costs and to increase profitability.

In addition to other machines and models of the Komatsu product range – such as Wheel Loader WA600-8, Dump Trucks HD 605-8 and HM300-5, Dump Truck HD405-8, Large Excavator PC700LC-11 or Hybrid Excavator HB365NLC-3 – the company will present the new Komatsu demolition excavator in the 50 ton class with high-reach equipment of up to 26 m for the first time in Germany.

Furthermore, Komatsu’s specialists provide information on technical possibilities for the utilization of operational data and the future development of machines in the stone and earth industry, on total cost of ownership and cost reductions or on industry 4.0. The focus is also on topics concerning an increase in operational efficiency, productivity, the identification of potentials and future developments of and for machinery used in quarries.
