New screw compressors for the entire Delta Screw series

By the end of last year, AERZEN exhibited the revised compressor packages Delta Screw E compressor at international industrial fairs - with great success. The planned range of 4 compressors of the new series “E compressor” is now extended by two additional sizes. The new models VM 30 and VML 35 cover the lower volume flow range of the series and are the perfect addition to the Delta Screw packages with belt drive.

The screw compressor packages of Delta Screw series are ideal for the dry and clean compression of air, neutral gases and special gases and are used world-wide in many industrial applications, such as in the pneumatic conveyance or in chemical processes. Innovations made by AERZEN continue to keep driving the development of the compressor technology. Thanks to many adjustments of the acoustic hood design and the use of components specially adapted to the system, an energy saving of up to 6 % could be obtained with the new compressor series.

The flow-optimised cooling concept supplies an additional advantage relating to energy efficiency. By the supply of process air via intake ducts from the outside, the efficiency of the compressor package had been significantly improved.

An important component of the Delta Screw series is the comprehensive accessories programme. Especially in case of high-tech applications relating to high system pressures or reactive production ranges, the highest possible safety must be guaranteed. In order to detect damages of the compressor stage at an early stage, AERZEN GmbH provides its customers with comprehensive solutions for the vibration measurement and analysis.

By means of SPM measuring nipples, and using an existing measuring system, the customer can identify independently any deviations from the standard. Alternatively, vibration sensors can be connected to an existing AERtronic control system and the measured values can be displayed. A permanent monitoring of the packaged unit can be realised completely and automatically by a connected vibration analysis system. This enables the customer to perform besides a vibration measurement an independent analysis on rotor bearing level. As final stage of expansion “Delta Real Time Monitoring” monitors vibrations, the pressure and the temperature of the machine via sensors. All of the measured values of up to eight diagnostic units are merged here in real time in an independent switch cabinet and these are transmitted immediately via internet, ethernet or GSM modem to a special server AERZEN, where they are monitored at any time. Trend deviations are identified and countermeasures are introduced.

The flexible concept of series Delta Screw additionally permits customised special solutions, as for example special motors or acoustic hoods for special ambient conditions. This new series of E compressors includes 6 sizes in the volume flow range from 330 to 7000 m³/h and drive capacities from 30 to 400 kilowatts. VM 30 and VML 35 cover a volume flow of 330 to 2590 m³/h and a maximum differential pressure of 2 or 3.5 bar.
