Product portfolio completed

The Wirtgen Group has secured a majority interest of 70 % in the Benninghoven GmbH & Co. KG with headquarters in Mühlheim. Benninghoven is a successful manufacturer of hot-mix asphalt plants steeped in tradition (Fig.). With Benninghoven, the Wirtgen Group with its leading brands Wirtgen, Vögele, Hamm and Kleemann has now acquired another technologically leading company ideally completing the existing product portfolio. Due to the integration of Benninghoven, the Wirtgen Group is now able to offer their customers complete solutions with technologically leading brands one-stop, i.e. all process steps from crushing of rock via the mixing of asphalt up to the placing, compacting and repairing of carriageways of all kinds.

With 55 of its own sales and service companies and more than 150 dealers the worldwide network of the Wirtgen Group will make it possible for Benninghoven to get access to other markets step by step. The focus will be on quick and competent service and application support. Thus, the Benninghoven family will have the opportunity to ensure the continuity and to further develop its company within a stable and larger group of companies. Bernd Benninghoven, Managing Director of Benninghoven GmbH & Co. KG, will further develop the future of the manufacturer of mixing plants together with the management team.
