1x1 of Process Engineering
From May 15-16, 2014 the seminar “1x1 of Process Engineering – Basics and selected practical applications” will take place in the Berlin House of Technology under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Matthias Kraume, Department of Process Engineering at the TU Berlin.
The basics of process engineering result from the interplay of knowledge in disciplines like fluid dynamics, thermo dynamics, physical chemistry etc. and the practical implementation of this knowledge within the context of technical processes. Based on the introductory representation of the essentials, their application in selected technical devices and processes will be communicated. For example, tube flows, particle movement, drying processes, solid fills, filtration, trickle film apparatus, circulating fluidized beds, separation columns and heat exchangers will be discussed. The seminar is primarily intended for engineers of other specialist disciplines, technical chemists, physicists and biotechnologists who deal with engineering processes and want to consolidate or expand their basic knowledge.
