Acquisition to boost portfolio

With effect from 04.04.2018, BHS-Sonthofen acquired all shares in the AVA GmbH & Co. KG from Herrsching in the greater Munich area. With this, BHS-Sonthofen strengthens its own market position in the field of mixing technology, supplementing its competence in the field of solid-liquid separation with AVA’s drying technology. AVA’s owners decided to sell their business as they wished to retire, since the family-run company lacked a successor. The parties agreed to keep the purchase price confidential. The Herrsching site will be retained, together with all AVA employees. Both companies will continue to operate in the marketplace under their own names.

AVA’s product range includes horizontal and vertical mixers and dryers. Beyond the process steps of mixing and drying, the company’s offering also covers further processes including granulation, sterilization and reaction. The AVA acquisition considerably enhances BHS-Sonthofen’s own service portfolio and line capabilities, allowing the company to cover additional upstream and downstream process steps.
