Bulk solids forum, promotion of the young generation and international relations

The Association of the German Bulk Solids Industry (DSIV) will make use of the POWTECH, which will take place in Nuremberg from 19 to 21 April, for numerous activities. Already during the first day of the fair, the association will hold its general meeting. In addition to the members, also those interested in the bulk solids industry are invited to participate in the event that will take place in the Room Basel of the NCC Mitte on 19 April at 3:00 p.m. The board of management will look back on the events of the previous months and will give a forward look at activities planned for the future.

On 20 April, the second day of the fair, the DSIV will organize the bulk solids forum in Hall 2, Stand 2-529. Themed “From experts for experts”, the latest trends and solution approaches will be presented in eleven lectures all about the bulk solids handling dealing with the topics of process automation, particle analysis and measuring techniques as well as explosion protection. Furthermore, the DSIV, together with the VDI (Association of German Engineers), is a partner and sponsor of PARTEC, which will take place parallel.

The fair stand of the DSIV can be found in hall 3 in the special area “Future Generation”. Stefan Penno, CEO of the DSIV, underlined that the association is particularly active as regards the promotion of the young generation: “We again will perform as sponsor for a group of students to visit the fair. This time we will make it possible for students of the faculty ‘Process Engineering’ of the Brunswick University to visit the fair.” Furthermore, the association will organize a chill-out directly at the fair stand every day from 4 p.m. There students and representatives of the DSIV will have the opportunity to make contacts in an uncomplicated way.

The relations of the DSIV to other international association shall also be further deepened within the framework of the POWTECH. Amongst other things, the board of management will meet with those responsible of the newly founded Turkish association Bulk Material Management Association of Turkey. Dates have also been fixed with other international associations, e.g. from the Netherlands, Japan and Spain. Thus, the DSIV will support its members to set up or expand international business relations. Joint fair appearances at suitable international events have been planned.
