Market entry successful - SBR 4 already in use throughout Germany
The earthmoving and demolition company Seufer Erdbau GmbH from Obersulm near Heilbronn, which has around 40 employees, is one of the first customers. On the company premises, the mineral waste material pre-sorted on the construction sites is processed within the framework of the Closed Substance Cycle Waste Management Act and a qualitatively tested reuse of RC material is ensured.
Large crushing and screening equipment was already in use at the Seufer company, as well as a drum screen bucket. However, Seufer Company always longed for a more efficient way to easily remove fines and debris from the construction debris, minimizing wear and tear on the crushing equipment, as well as saving time and labor for removal and additional cleaning.
“You saved me!” was the verdict of second-generation managing director Steffen Seufer after the joint commissioning with Florian Schmellenkamp, head of business development at EAG Einfach Aufbereiten GmbH. “The time saved, by loading by wheel loader, is enormous and will save the excavator countless operating hours,” reports Seufer, who also immediately noticed the high-quality workmanship of the machine, which is manufactured in Saxony. “A simple, flexible and powerful solution has finally been found,” said resource manager Sam Seufer as well.
Kevin Richter, authorized signatory and project manager of the family business, had ordered the right machine. After commissioning, with two screen changes within 1.5 hours, the management, machinists and fitters on site were completely convinced. “For us, it is important to make the processes in the company as flexible as possible. The fact that we can feed the machine with the wheel loader and that it can be used at any time via sensor control is a great benefit for us. And the fact that it’s virtually maintenance-free and now goes easy on the excavator and crusher is the icing on the cake,” says Richter.
Third-generation general manager Tom Seufer looks to the future “recycling instead of landfilling!” “With this screening technology, we can save on landfill, crushing, logistics and operating costs overall, as well as being environmentally and resource friendly.”
The 3.2-meter wide and 3-meter long screening area is designed for the large buckets of the CAT 962 or CAT 966 wheel loaders and allows an hourly output of approximately 140 t/h. With the new vibrating system and the drive power doubled to 4 kW, it can be fed quickly and separated cleanly even with mesh sizes of 20 x 20 mm.
The 5.7 t model is moved on the company premises by track excavator, but can also be moved by wheel loader. Thanks to the new design of the machine body, it is also possible to unload the screening machine without the need for additional construction machinery or a crane when transporting it by low-loader with pneumatically height-adjustable chassis. The machine’s feet projecting above the platform and the simple pin-connection system make this possible.
The replaced attachments from the Seufer company are now used for their intended purpose on the construction site and the excavator can devote itself to feeding the crusher.
