New generation at JÖST
With effect from 1 July 2015 a new generation has taken over, which had been agreed upon between the partners a long time ago (Fig.). Now Dr. Marcus Wirtz will follow in the footsteps of Dr. Christian Fuchs. Wirtz has been working for the JÖST group in leading positions for ten years. After more than 32 years of successful work as managing director and partner, Dr. Christian Fuchs retired from the JÖST group with effect from 30 June 2015 and became chairman of the advisory board. Dr. Fuchs was managing director for more than 20 years, during that time he was also a partner for more than 10 years. He actively took part in developing the JÖST group into one of the worldwide leading companies in the field of vibration technology.
Dr. Marcus Wirtz is the responsible managing director for sales and engineering. After his course of studies and PhD in Aachen and in the USA, Dr. Wirtz was internationally active in various technologically leading companies. In 2006 he was one of the co-founders of the American subsidiary JOEST Inc. with headquarters in Chicago/USA. With strategic vision and a great deal of entrepreneurial spirit he developed this young company in the US. With a lot of verve and entrepreneurial ideas Dr. Wirtz took over the position of general sales manager of the JÖST group, which he held for three years.
