New managing director of the gearbox line of the WEG Group in Europe
WEG, one of the worldwide leading suppliers of drive equipment, has appointed Klaus Sirrenberg (Fig.) Managing Director of its subsidiaries Watt Drive Antriebstechnik GmbH with headquarters in Markt Piesting/Austria, Watt Drive GmbH located in Unna/Germany and Württembergische Elektromotoren GmbH headquartered in Balingen/Germany. With immediate effect, he succeeds the previous managing director Wolfgang Meyer, who will take up a leading position in the business line ‘sales of generators’ in Europe. From now on, Klaus Sirrenberg’s tasks at his present job as Director Low Voltage Products of WEG in Germany will be taken over by Wilmar Henning, Managing Director of WEG Germany GmbH. The appointment of Sirrenberg as managing director of the Watt Drive Group means that he will return to his old place of activity, since he had already held various positions within the company before WEG took over the gearbox specialist in 2011. One of the most important tasks of the newly appointed managing director will be the global launch of the new series of geared motors WG20.
