Wide range of applications

Goodyear presented premium tyres and more at steinexpo 2023

Goodyear presented its tyre portfolio for dump trucks and wheel loaders as well as for heavy-duty trucks and tippers on primarily unpaved roads at steinexpo 2023. As a tyre manufacturer, Goodyear offers a wide range of products and sizes for diverse applications in this segment.

Goodyear POWERLOAD®

The POWERLOAD® tyre series is designed to optimise the productivity, durability and cost-effective operation of compact wheel loaders and small graders for more efficient and sustainable operations. It is equipped with Smooth Guard Technology™. It features a specially reinforced rubber protection layer in the shoulder area and sidewall, which gives the tyre greater durability. In addition, the new tyre series has a reinforced sidewall construction for more lateral stability. The tyre’s tread pattern is not directional, so it can be mounted on any wheel position. The Goodyear POWERLOAD® offers excellent off-road traction and directional stability.

GP-3E

The GP-3E is specially designed for wheel loaders, articulated dump trucks and graders. With its special Goodyear Type 6 rubber compound, it provides increased abrasion resistance and thus lower tyre costs. At the same time, the model impresses with a reduced overall weight compared to its predecessors. The special construction is proven to optimise tread wear, contributing to Goodyear’s goal of maximising efficiency and sustainability without sacrificing tyre performance.

The GP-3E’s tread pattern offers high traction through additional gripping edges, a double row of centre lugs and an increased number of lugs. At the same time, the tread design supports a high level of flotation through even weight distribution in the contact patch. The advanced tread pattern, in combination with the new carcass construction, also offers increased ride comfort - a bonus for the driver during long shifts in difficult climatic conditions.

The latest Goodyear tyres are designed for electric, hybrid and conventional diesel-powered vehicles, in line with the company’s Electric Drive Ready strategy. Because the same tyre can be used regardless of drive type, operators can optimise their inventory.

Omnitrac Heavy Duty

The Omnitrac Heavy Duty tyre series is specifically designed for use on heavy-duty trucks or tippers that travel only short distances on paved roads and primarily travel on unpaved roads, such as construction sites, mines or quarries. The Omnitrac Heavy Duty series focuses on vehicles that work predominantly in heavy terrain, covering only short distances on paved roads. At the same time, the tyres offer improved fuel efficiency and connectivity in combination with tyre management systems.

TL-4A

The TL-4A is an OTR tyre for articulated dump trucks and scrapers. With this tyre, the manufacturer meets the growing number of higher capacity vehicles. The tyre’s high tread depth provides excellent traction on muddy and soft surfaces. The TL-4A is available in two versions in size 33.25 R 29 with a belt made of high-strength steel for improved resistance to punctures.

TPMS Heavy Duty

Goodyear has many years of experience in the development of Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS). At steinexpo 2023, the company presented the enhanced TPMS Heavy Duty. The system communicates with drivers and fleet managers via two apps, Goodyear FleetHub and Goodyear DriverHub, providing them with predictive tyre data and helpful information for proactive and preventive maintenance of their fleets.
