Premiere: New S50c spiked roller profile for the RC300 roller crusher

With the newly developed S50c spiked roller profile, Gebr. JEHMLICH GmbH is further expanding its portfolio in the field of industrial crushing technology. The long-established company from Nossen has been developing and manufacturing custom solutions for the crushing of bulk materials for many years, consistently focusing on practical improvements to existing machine technology.

The basis for this latest development is the RC300 roller crusher, which is used – depending on the application – for controlled crushing or for breaking up agglomerates. The new S50c profile combines the advantages of two existing roller profiles, uniting the broad applicability of the established S50 profile with the improved feed behaviour of the S70 profile. A key feature is the convex-concave design of the spike geometry. This is intended to grip the feed material more securely and guide it more stably into the roll gap.

A particular focus of the development was on improving cleanability and process stability. To this end, the axial gaps between the tools were structurally optimized and given larger radii. This helps reduce material buildup, especially with moist or slightly adhesive products. At the same time, the geometry supports more uniform force transmission and more consistent gap characteristics.

The new roller profile is fully compatible with the existing RC300 series. Mounting dimensions, roller length, and interfaces remain unchanged, allowing the profile to be used in the roller crusher without any design modifications. With this, Gebr. JEHMLICH GmbH is pursuing a clearly practical approach in which proven crushing technology is specifically further developed to offer users a broader range of applications, greater operational reliability, and improved ease of maintenance.
