The meeting place for innovation in the phosphates field - SYMPHOS 2011, Marrakech/Morocco (09.-13-05-2011)
From May 9th to 13th, 2011, Marrakech will host the 1st edition of SYMPHOS, the International Symposium dedicated to future technological innovation in the phosphates industry. This event, organised and sponsored by OCP on a global scale, is a place for scientific reflection and exchange of technical expertise on all subjects associated with the phosphates field. This first edition of SYMPHOS will be heralded by the presence of key national and international players operating in the phosphates industry. SYMPHOS also announces the active participation of several well-known international experts and researchers, who will share their expertise in this key field for the Moroccan national economy.
SYMPHOS will offer conferences, workshops and exhibition spaces where the most recent innovations in geological prospecting, mine extraction and the chemical development of phosphates and their bi-products will be debated and presented. SYMPHOS will also cover general interest themes during sessions dedicated to topical subjects such as the environment, energy and sustainable development. All these subjects and themes with be addressed through plenary sessions and workshops with themes following innovation in all its forms. The schedule of working sessions will be supplemented with visits, to Khouribga in particular, a city home to the biggest open air phosphate mine in the world, as well as to the Jorf Lasfar Industrial complex.
SYMPHOS will be a crossroads of exchange and reflection, bringing added value for the actors in the phosphates industry. Through this event the OCP will show its dedication to promoting the field and encourage open exchange as well as launching a new era of industrial progress within the framework of sustainable development.
