Expanded range of uses with the new track-mounted impact crusher SBM REMAX 450

In modern building materials recycling, a multitude of requirements stand side by side on an equal footing: Today, the practice is a real service that demands services and processing at the highest level in each case. The company must be able to accept a wide variety of material groups and transform them into "new" building materials for its customers at economically attractive conditions. A good example of a high-performance, reliable partner for the construction industry is EMMEX Mineralstoffe GmbH from Emmerich am Rhein - and its all-rounder in the machine park is now the new track-mounted impact crusher SBM REMAX 450.

The essential companions of this success story were and are, besides committed and highly qualified employees, always state-of-the-art machines. Over the years, not only the product portfolio has changed, but the reconditioner is also confronted with steadily increasing masses. "Of course, that's just fine with us, since it's our daily business," says Managing Director Thomas Geerling. "But 50 000 t/a also need to be processed first." Primarily concrete, mixed building rubble and road debris provide a permanent supply at the recycling yard in Emmerich. There is no shortage of such materials in the economic region – just as there is no shortage of high-quality secondary building materials. In order not to lose sight of economic efficiency in all this mix, the choice of machine technology is of great importance.

Special focus is always placed on an efficient crushing process as a prerequisite for processing. In detail, however, the motto applies: "Without crushing everything is nothing - but crushing is not everything either. In practice, this means that sensible sorting, separating and classifying must also be taken into account in the overall process. After all, it is the quality-controlled products that the market demands today. With these high demands, the time has come for the diesel-electrically driven SBM impact crusher REMAX 450. With its included options, the latest development from the Austrians has long been more than just a crusher. This already starts before the crusher. The active double-deck pre-screening integrated in the hopper already separates the feed material from its fines. By slightly folding over the chute systems, the separated fines can either be fed to the end product via the bypass or discharged sideways – as practised by EMMEX GmbH. This serves the user's wish to eliminate the so-called elutriable components and thus directly produce a 0 – 8 mm paving bedding as an additional product.

The material reaches the crushing chamber via the large inlet opening (1260 x 800 mm), where the desired crushing is carried out by two independently adjustable impact vibrating screens. The discharge chute integrated under the crusher unit conveys the crushed material safely and trouble-free onto the 1200 mm wide discharge conveyor. An overband magnetic separator that can be raised via the remote control sorts out the metal parts.

The integrated secondary screening unit with return belt and integrated air classifier turns the SBM impact crusher REMAX 450 into an independent process chain that directly produces the desired finished products. Among other things, it enables the processing at EMMEX to directly produce quality-controlled RC material 0 – 45 mm. The use of a further screen deposit is no longer necessary. The SBM REMAX 450 track-mounted impact crusher has proven itself as a combination plant that can handle all tasks as a complex overall machine. "The rich options that the REMAX 450 impact crusher offers the customer were decisive in meeting the demands of EMMEX GmbH," Moerschen Mobile Aufbereitung salesman Thomas Priewe says with great satisfaction at meeting the needs of a high-performance recycling professional. He adds: "SBM stands for premium quality and we are happy to stand for premium service with Moerschen."

The wide range of equipment options is joined by a forward-looking feature for which SBM can be considered one of the pioneers in the industry: In addition to the proven, low-maintenance diesel-electric drive, the REMAX 450 impact crusher can operate with all plant functions via a powerful 300 kVa generator in optional mains operation. In addition to the high efficiency of the drive system, this enables absolutely emission-free operation.
