Last year, with more than 400 exhibitors and over 16 000 visitors, the FILTECH consolidated its position as the foremost international meeting place for the filtration and separation technologies sector. The conference section of the event also made a key contribution, as experts provided visitors with in-depth information on the latest sector trends with 180 different talks and presentations. The call for papers for the FILTECH 2021 is now starting. Industry representatives are required to submit their presentations by August 30, 2020.

Whether it is simply about experiencing the broad range of content on offer or exploring selected topics in greater depth, the FILTECH provides both options. The international event not only offers visitors an exhibition area with an entire spectrum of filtration and separation technologies for every type of medium, it also includes a comprehensive conference program with extensive information on current product trends as well as insights into research and development topics. The event organizer is now inviting experts who wish to present their topics at the FILTECH 2021 to apply for a lecture slot. Up to August 30, 2020, researchers and developers, members of universities and institutes, companies, and associations are invited to submit abstracts of their presentations that will inform trade visitors during the congress program, which takes place from February 23 to 25, 2021.

The event organizer is planning 60 sessions with some 200 lectures for the FILTECH 2021. The main focus, however, is on technical relevance. A scientific committee, comprising over 40 sector experts and chaired by Dr. Harald Anlauf (Karlsruhe) and Prof. Eberhard Schmidt (University of Wuppertal), will examine all the submissions to ensure a top-level knowledge and know-how transfer. “We want to give participants the opportunity to experience state-of-the-art technologies and gain insights into forward-looking innovations from the worlds of science and research,” says Suzanne Abetz from FILTECH Exhibitions Germany.

Simple form for uploading

Experts who wish to present the results of their research should go to the FILTECH website, complete the form, and upload their abstracts. The type of presentation, i.e. a 20-minute lecture, a 5-minute short presentation, or a poster presentation, can be freely selected. In addition to topic, research objective, background, methods, and results, up to six authors can be named. With the aim of making it as simple as possible for presenters to participate, the FILTECH also offers a free printing service for poster presentations.

“Largely due to the restrictions in recent months, we are currently seeing even greater interest in people wanting to take advantage of the opportunity to engage in intensive scientific knowledge transfer during the coming year,” says Suzanne Abetz, describing the outlook for the forthcoming FILTECH 2021. “Over 70 % of the available stands are already booked in the exhibition area.” The conference slots are also highly sought after – as science and research never stops progressing, even in challenging times.
