In the last issue of 2011 you are informed about aspects of ore dressing (p. 38; p. 50), wear protection (p. 24; p. 32) and the drying of solids (p. 31) as main topics.
Furthermore, in Follow-Ups you will find the summary of two outstanding events. The Berlin Recycling and Raw Material Conference was a platform to discuss new aspects in the field of raw material securing by means of recycling of waste. The author, Dr. Brigitte Hoffmann, exactly describes the concern of the conference (p. 10): “Above all, in countries lacking in raw materials like Germany, supreme efforts must be made to look for new ways to ensure the supply of raw materials, not least utilizing the potential of recycling waste.” For the first time Symphos was organized in Morocco – an international symposium all about innovations for the exploitation and processing of phosphates. Our AT editor Ulrike Mehl was there and summarized for you the most important results and impressions (p. 18).
Already in January the next event highlight will take place in Leoben/Austria – the Mineral Processing Seminar 2012.
