The company’s history started more than 140 years ago: in 1871 the 28-year-old Robert Vigier built the first cement factory in Switzerland. The early years weren’t easy, know-how and experience had to be amassed first. But the success of the venture was clearly proven by the survival and enormous growth of the Group.
