Dear readers,
IFAT 2026 will take place in Munich from May 4 to 7 – an important industry meeting point for representatives from politics, business, and science, and at the same time the largest international platform for environmental technologies in the fields of water, recycling, and circularity. In addition to the numerous exhibitors presenting their pioneering solutions for industrial and municipal challenges, trade visitors can expect an extensive programme of panel discussions, specialist presentations, guided trade fair tours and live demonstrations. The focus is on how recycling, digitalization and new collaboration can help secure raw materials, use resources more efficiently and strengthen economic resilience. We present some of the highlights awaiting you at IFAT in our trade fair SPECIAL starting on page 40.
Flottweg’s technical article, starting on page 64, discusses the use of high-performance decanter centrifuges for the efficient separation of solids and liquids in wastewater treatment plants. Using three different case studies, the article highlights current trends in waste management that save time and money while protecting the environment.
Another highlight of this issue is the article and interview on technological advancements and strengthened partnerships at Hosokawa Alpine, published in conjunction with the farewell tour marking the retirement of long-time employee Dietmar Alber, who most recently served as Business Development Director. The first stop on this tour was Jordan Minerals in Amman/Jordan, a manufacturer of calcium carbonate with which Hosokawa Alpine and Dietmar Alber have a long-standing partnership.
We wish you exciting encounters and interesting impulses during IFAT and hope you enjoy reading this issue.
