Call for Papers for the “Processing and Recycling 2026” Conference

The annual “Processing and Recycling 2026” conference will take place on November 5 and 6, 2026. The conference is organized by the Society for Process Engineering UVR-FIA e.V. Freiberg. The event is organized by UVR-FIA GmbH in cooperation with the TU Bergakademie Freiberg. The venue is the DBI Conference Center, Halsbrücker Str. 34, 09599 Freiberg.

As in previous years, the event offers an excellent platform for presenting the latest research findings, technical innovations, and best practices. This provides an opportunity for personal exchange and discussion with experts from industry and academia.

Contributions can be submitted and presented in two formats:

• 1. Presentations within the following time frame: 15-minute presentation + 5-minute discussion
• 2. Posters, which are introduced as short presentations (3 minutes) within the conference program and displayed at the accompanying poster exhibition

The conference’s main topics are

• Machinery, equipment, and sensors
• Processing of primary raw materials
• Processing of secondary raw materials/recycling

A selection committee composed of representatives from the organizers and hosts will compile the scientific and technical program. Notification of acceptance will be provided by the end of August 2026.

Important dates

• July 31, 2026: Deadline for abstract submission
• End of August 2026: Notification of acceptance
• Mid-September 2026: Program distribution & start of online registration

Starting Friday afternoon, the conference will transition into a celebration marking the 30th anniversary of UVR-FIA GmbH – featuring a champagne reception and evening event. To help us plan our anniversary celebration, please send a brief, non-binding confirmation by mid-June regarding your expected attendance (please indicate whether you will be attending alone or with a companion).
