Freiberg conference “Processing and Recycling 2025”
14.05.2025The annual conference “Processing and Recycling 2025” will take place in 2025 on 6 and 7 November 2025 in the lecture hall at Chemnitzer Str. 40 in 09599 Freiberg.
The conference "Processing and Recycling 2024" will again take place in the lecture hall of the former Research Institute for Processing at the current location of the Helmholtz Institute for Resource Technology Freiberg

As in previous years, in addition to interesting lectures, numerous experts from business and science are expected to take part in constructive technical discussions and an exchange of experiences. The conference is organised by the Gesellschaft für Verfahrenstechnik UVR-FIA e.V. Freiberg and hosted by UVR-FIA GmbH in cooperation with the Helmholtz Institute Freiberg for Resource Technology at the HZDR (HIF) and the TU Bergakademie Freiberg.
Main focus of the 2025 conference are Mineral Raw Materials – Recyclables from Waste
- Machines, instruments und sensors
- Processing of primary raw materials
- Processing of secondary raw materials/recycling
As in previous years, the event offers an excellent platform for presenting the latest research findings, technical innovations and best practices. This opens up the opportunity for personal discussions with experts from business and science.
The organisers invite contributions in two formats:
- Presentations: duration 20 minutes; 5 minutes discussion time
- Posters: 3 minutes short presentation within the conference programme and presentation at the accompanying poster exhibition
A selection committee consisting of representatives of the organisers and hosts will put together the scientific and technical programme. Applicants will receive feedback by the end of August 2025 as to whether their contribution has been accepted.
Important dates
- 31 July 2025: Deadline for submission of abstracts
- End of August 2025: Notification of acceptance
- Mid-September 2025: Dispatch of the programme & start of online registration
