China and India in the focus

Dear Readers

Raw materials are becoming more and more valuable. China is one of the most important trading partners, but also one of the most important raw material suppliers. Dr. Joachim Harder gives a comprehensive analysis dealing with the topic “Appetite for commodities – What will become of China?” based on the extraction of iron ore, coal and gold, the mining industry of China (from p. 50). Rajesh Nath, Managing Director VDMA India, and his co-author, the business analyst Dipanjan Paul, report on coal deposits and coal extraction in India, describing in detail the current status and the prospects for future projects and resources still to be opened up (from p. 61).

A new type of material handling in the gravel works is presented from p. 28. And read more about a new floating grab plant in Russia from p. 46. You should not miss this year’s IMPC – International Minerals Processing Congress that will take place in New/Delhi/India from 24 to 28 September. You will find more information from p. 16. Of course, our May issue of AT INTERNATIONAL includes many other interesting topics. I wish you enjoyable reading
